About

Heather Haley is an artist based in Boise, Idaho working in predominantly oil paints. Inspired by the world around her, as well as the places she has been fortunate enough to travel to, Heather uses vivid color to depict scenes from her imagination and experiences.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Heather began painting before she could speak in full sentences. Art was her first language. She spent her childhood creating art through a self-taught approach to drawing and painting. During high school and college, art took a back-seat to her love for biology and wildlife, yet she still enrolled in art classes throughout her educational journey. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology from Boise State University. She has been self-employed as a full-time private tutor for math and sciences since 2008, yet still creates art constantly.

After college she traveled extensively throughout the world. The inability to quench her thirst for adventure, and insatiable passion for other cultures and landscapes, has led her far and wide. As an adult, the 4 aspects of her life (art, science, wildlife, and travel) have entwined so strongly, it is prevalent in the art she creates. Heather is a member of Treasure Valley Artist’s Alliance, and participates in TVAA exhibitions throughout the year. Check out Heather’s TVAA page!
